Bosch Car Service in Sun Valley | High Pricing & Poor Customer Service

I took my vehicle to bosch car service sun valley on the 06 August 2025 for an assessment on my brakes and was told my front disks and pads needed replacement to which I rep****, "that's odd as they were replaced 19500km before, and done by Ford where I normally have my vehicle serviced.

I asked for a quote and was quoted R11376.68 which I said was excessive and was offered a 10% discount on materials/ parts.

I was in a hurry and needed my vehicle for work, so I told the foreman to proceed, knowing it was an expensive fix.

Feeling irritated that I had been dooped, I checked the quote received with other Bosch Car Service Centre's in the area (Observatory & Tokai). They both quoted me +- R7000 for the same job. In other words, bosch Sun Valley's quote was 60% more expensive than the other two quotes received!!!!

Long story short I was MASSIVELY overcharged - they charged me R6372 (excluding labour) for a set of pads and disks that can be purchased from any Midas/Bosch retailer for about R1700 to R2000.

After sharing this information with the general manager, I was told, but not in so many words, you pay a premium when having your vehicle serviced by bosch Noordhoek/ Sun Valley.

I posted the above experience on the local community forum and in under 24 hours I received at least 40 replies from others sharing their bad experiences with the bosch Sun Valley. Complaints mainly about excessively high pricing and poor customer service!
