No hole!
<p>A few weeks ago, I paid a deposit into EC Drilling Trust's account as part of an agreement to have a borehole drilled on my farm in the Stillbay area. The owner, Jacques du Plessis, assured me that he has been in the drilling business for 22 years and have an impeccable reputation. Now, weeks later, and after I ordered additional PVC piping, I still don't have the hole drilled. Nobody answers the office number and even though Jacques promised on various occasions to have the work done, nothing is happening. I'm also battling to get hold of him. Even after he has been served with a notice of demand to repay the deposit, I have not been reimbursed. </p>

The drilling site are situated in an area where normal drilling method wasn't possible and only mudrotation drilling was an option. however he only had R25'000 available to get the job done and the quote was for R101'340. We after realizing his need for water we decided to go and help him (actually doing a R100K job for R25K) doing him a favour and in return he would have spread the word and share our contact details with clients interested in having a borehole drilled . We were there with the machinery to start the work but because of a lot of rain flooding occurred and we weren't even able to access the site. We moved on to the next client on the list as we can't afford to stay at an unaccesable site. A time passed and we told Mr Luus that we need to once again buy all the supplies needed for the drilling and we need to buy it from our own money since the small deposit wasn't enough for it and we asked him to be patient and that we will get to him. He posted the review here and we refunded him deciding that it's best for both parties not to drill the borehole any more. Mr Luus and I ended the agreement with both of us feeling that the matter was resolved.
