Unprofessional Conduct and Failure to Handle Dispute Properly
I am raising serious concerns regarding the conduct of Boost Legal in relation to my account.
Despite acknowledging the outstanding balance and clearly communicating my intention to settle the account in full by month-end via EFT, the manner in which this matter has been handled is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
Instead of engaging constructively, Boost Legal issued a dismissive response stating: “just pay us so we can close and delete your profile permanently.” This statement is inappropriate, lacks professionalism, and demonstrates a clear disregard for proper dispute resolution processes.
Furthermore, the company has:
Failed to meaningfully address a formal dispute raised in good faith; Misrepresented what constitutes a valid payment arrangement; Made irrelevant and inappropriate requests for personal information; and Continued to communicate in a dismissive and unprofessional manner.
When this conduct was formally challenged, their response was simply to proceed with lodging a complaint with the regulator, reflecting a complete lack of accountability.
This matter has now been escalated to the National Credit Regulator and the National Consumer Commission for formal investigation.
Consumers should be aware of the manner in which this company engages when legitimate concerns are raised. Professionalism, fairness, and basic respect in communication appear to be lacking.
I remain committed to settling the account; however, this does not justify or excuse the conduct displayed.
This level of conduct is concerning for any entity operating within the credit and collections environment and warrants regulatory scrutiny.
