Boomerang contravening POPIA act

I just got a call from Boomerang Insurance and I asked the agent where they got my details from. They did not want to tell me and when I insisted cut the call. She said they adhere to POPIA but then they should be able to tell me where they got my details from. Cold calling a client is so not in the spirit of POPIA.
