Whispering Palms via Booking.com

Seeking a refund for a booking I made, booking was for Whispering Palms in Port Elizabeth, after the booking was confirmed we arrived at the property only to find out that it had been closed due to the untimely passing of the owner. The was a note on the outside addressed to all Booking.com guests stating that we must seek assistance with refunds from Booking.com. I have been trying to do this since the 7th of June 2024 but still no one has been able to assist me. I cancelled the reservation on my end but they will only credit me 50%, that is not fair, I want my full refund from them.
