We were ****med by Booking.com!

We had made a booking for 20-22 September 2024 for a 3-bedroom apartment at 1 Leighton Street, East Cambridge, Cambridge, MA 02141 in Boston and had paid $1851.42 (picture). When we arrived at the address, we learned that it is an apartment block that does not allow short-term rentals and that we had been the fourth group of people to be ****med as there are no apartments available for short-term rental. When we contacted Booking.com about this **** they were singularly unhelpful and have done nothing to address the problem. Indeed, the **** booking at the same address is still available at Booking.com. I have been using Booking.com for over a decade for which I have its highest user status (Genius Level 3) but I have been deeply disappointed at their poor service in dealing with this **** posting that Booking.com is promoting on its website.
