I recently booked a hotel room in Coventry to allow me to attend the UK Game Fair. From the booking I understood that the reservation is non-refundable. The event organizers then changed the venue and also the time of the Fair.

When I learnt of this change, I tried to change the dates for this reservation (there is a tab on their site for this), but you simply get a return message to state that it is a non-refundable booking, and changing the date is not possible. I sent a message to booking.com, and received an automated message that referred me back to the reservation page. Same story. Another message to them, no reply.

There is a significant difference between non-refundable, and not being able to change or cancel a booking. Other similar sites inform you upfront if the reservation is non-refundable and/or not allowing changes.

Looking at the numbers of complaints, all unanswered, it is clear that booiing.com could not give a **** about their customers. Be warned. I will take my future business to others.
