The Worst Experience of My Life – Avoid Booking.com & Cladon Jadde Apartments

Pin this for life: Never use @booking.com for your travel or accommodation needs. This has been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. If you value your money, time, sanity, and safety—stay far away.

We booked No. 2 Cladon Jadde Apartments in Fourways via Booking.com. When we arrived, we were refused entry to the property. The host would not allow us in or provide the apartment we booked. Instead, she sent a strange man accompanied by three aggressive bulldogs to confront us. He had no idea who we were or why we were there, and could barely communicate with us. I’ve never felt so unsafe in my life.

We were two women, left stranded in the middle of the night, in winter, forced to find alternative accommodation at our own cost. The host initiated the cancellation, and we agreed—expecting a refund. However, Booking.com later claimed that she refused to approve the refund and instead wanted to “offer us another apartment.” Why would we return to a place where we were threatened and harassed?

Booking.com has shown that they do not care about the safety or well-being of their users. Their platform exposes consumers to ****mers and dangerous situations, with zero accountability.

Do not book with Booking.com. Do not stay at Cladon Jadde Apartments. Ever.
