Terrible experience with booking.com

We listed an apartment this year and after 23 bookings and a 9.7/10 rating, our listing was disabled so that they could authenticate the location. This was supposed to take "a maximum of 10 days" and it has been 40+ days and we still haven't even received the authentication email. Have called them multiple times and they say there is nothing to do about it and we need to wait it out. All of this is costing us a massive amount of money, as December/Jan is peak tourist season in Knysna.
