Slept in the car because the place I booked and payed via booking.com was fully booked

I booked a Guesthouse, payes in advanced and booking.com confirmed the booking but when I got at the place they told ne thst that booking.com did not contact them and that they are fully booked. I called booking.com and told them the story, i asked them to find me another alternative and confirm it for me but they only sent me a link of alternatives that are available on their app, unfortunately when I went to those places they were all fully booked although they appeared to be available on the app. I drove aroud for hours trying to find a place to sleep but I ended up sleeping in the car near bushes with my girlfriend at a very unsafe place. I didn't get my refund or anything. I sent their customer services a message and till now no reply.
