Ski Booking Disaster

I had booked accommodation in A ski resort town in the Czech Republic, when I arrived at the accommodation, the keys or the owner were no-where to be found. With the help of some of the local apartment owners I contacted the owner who informed me that he was out of the country and could not honour the booking. Whether this is a Booking.com or Owner issue I am not aware, but I have received no follow up regarding the absolute disaster of a booking.

I have sent many messages to both Booking.com and the owner and to date have no response from either. Their customer service is pathetic. I could have been stuck in -7 Temperatures to sleep in the car for all they were concerned.

I have lost a lot of funds due to the incident and cannot find any portal to claim from either party.
