Shocking outdated hotel and no word from the booking agency who deem the hotel 4 Star luxury.

My father and I went to Pretoria, looking forward to three days of staying in a luxury hotel, eating great food and having a great time while we watched my daughter compete at the interprovincial tennis championships. I wanted a hotel that was luxurious and comfortable. On arrival, it was noted that the hotel was not situated in the best of areas. The venue was dated and appeared to have had no maintenance done to it in a long while. The cupboard door fell on my dads foot, the hairdryer was held together with masking tape and then taped to the wall. The bath tap kept dripping. The shower head streamed one line of water while the other shower head holes were closed due to mineral deposits. The curtains were dirty and some parts were not attached to the railings. There was mould in the bathroom. There was no satellite tv at all. Only SABC channels. I had to request milk and water when I was told on arrival that it could be found in my room. The photos on the website suggest that the restuarant serves an a la carte menu. When given the piece of paper, that was the menu with pub style food and a wine list saying house red and house white. I realised that the restuarant was not a la carte. The next morning we decided to eat in the restuarant. Where we were served powdered scrambled eggs and burnt coffee. I had paid up front for the three days. I chose to leave immediately and check in somewhere else that would meet our needs. I tried getting a hold of booking.com to ask for a refund and to discuss the way they advertised the accommodation, suggesting that it was four star with a spa and an a la carte menu. They have not come back to me even though I have left many different emails (they cannot be contacted by phone). I have heard nothing as yet. I can say that the staff at the hotel are friendly and trying their best in a hotel that is far beneath par. I will never advocate this venue or use booking.com again.
