Security failure - Cottage Collection Paternoster

What should have been a romantic getaway for our wedding anniversary turned into a nightmare as we were broken into on our first night at the Cottage Collection (Romantica Villa) On 8 April 2016 after a night out we came back to have the glass door of the unit forced open. The management was unable to offer alternative safer accommodation and we had to move the couch in front of the door to feel a bit safer. The directors of this company now refuses to assist with the replacement of our items and has taken absolutely no measures to ensure that the unit is safe for other guests that might use it. We also have reason to suspect that their staff could possibly be involved in the *******. We suffered a loss of over R20 000 of personal belongings. I believe we were watched. After this incident it became clear that crime in Paternoster has escalated quite a bit in recent months and the Directors of Cottage Collection is quite aware of this. The director Simone Jacke seem to think we want free accommodation from them - not the case - I want to be safe on holiday, especially when they are aware of crime in the area and have not even fitted security doors. Simone Jacke - keep your accommodation, your email and comments are an insult!!!!!
