I have been ****med by bookings.com I booked for accommodation for 2nights in Durban via bookings.com under a hotel or lodge named Lily’s Haven. I paid the full accommodation price before arrival R4000 for 2apartments. I then requested one apartment cancellation via bookings.com and it was successful. Upon my arrival at the given address for the accommodation, I found out it was all a **** and I’ve been de*****ed. First the address given on the app is incorrect. 2nd the Lily’s Haven hotbed doesn’t exist. 3rd upon arriving at the address given by the contact person, the security had never heard of the hotel, 4th the owner kept on persistently calling me to deposit and additional R2800 saying it was for booking key fee. I didn’t pay that saying I’ll say upon arrival. When I got at the address given the contact person Lily didn’t show up. She said there was no reception and that I should just proceed to the apartment number she’ll give me telephonically, upon reaching the given apartments in the buildings the doors were chain locked. She said o should first send her R2000 for her to give me the code telephonically. Mind you this person uses 3different contact details. When refusing am requesting for my money back she said I should cancel with booking.com and that the name of her company isn’t Lily’s Haven but she’s just the middle person who handles the bookings under the urban park premises. This lady requested for my car registration, make and model when arriving in Durban and I’ve seen been followed by unknown people. I’ve been ****med and I feel this issue needs to be investigated thoroughly. Lily’s Haven can easily be used as a human trafficking syndicate. The place in *****, unsafe and in welcoming. The address on the site was 27 Meridian Drive Umhlanga KZN 4319 South Africa and when arriving the address didn’t exist. This place was actually an office park and note a holiday accommodation. The pictures on the website are also a ****. None of that exist
