I feel Booking.com is ripping us off. When you book, they demand a credit card. No problem. Then the guesthouse phones and demands immediate payment!. The guest house says they want cash and will not accept a credit card as payment. I ask the guesthouse to leave the booking as they have changed the rules

Booking.com then charges a cancellation fee!

They say I can cancel without a cancellation fee if they get 14-day notice. I want to travel within 3 days. I do not have 14 days.
