Review about booking.com

We booked Fountain Beach House through Booking.com. It was a shocking experience with a sub-standerd establishment that should not have been on booking.com. We are of the view that we were mislead to think that booking.com maintains at least some standard of propriety.Moreover they refused to withhold payment to the owner of this place and enriched themselves at our cost in levying a commission on such a disgracefull place. Booking.com eventually offered us a n meagre refund of 10% which is less than the commission they earn on such a transaction. They are clearly not prepared to take a stance on the owner or even to inspect the premises but continue to allow future customars to fall into the same trap.
