Refund penalty

I booked an accommodation via booking.combusting my flying miles.. I wanted to pay with my miles and my credit card was charged. Upon realising i contacted booking.com to cancel and reverse and they said i should speak to the establish/hotel. I then contacted the hotel and they granted me a waiver with zero penalties but booking.con charged me and they didn’t receive all my money
