Refund delays

On the 26th Jan 2021 I made a booking through them for a night stay Mount Amanzi. I cancelled the booking on the same because the venue could accommodate my request foe an early check-in. On the same day the payment was made so I read the cancelation policy and it said my refund would take 10-14 days which was okay with me since I only needed the money on the 17th Feb 2021. Fourteen days later I still hadn't received my refund so I called the venue and they told me to take it up with booking.com. I called the customer service and was helped by gentle man who told me I would receive an email show the money would transfered back and it would take 5-7 days and apologized. Two days later I still hadn't recieved the email so I tried them again and spoke to another lady who said they cant get hold of the person responsible for refund from the accommodation but she will keep trying and send that email to me because I was not comfortable with the uncer*****y. A dah passed and still no email. I got my refund a day later and was pleased even though it was later than I had initially anticipated. Unfortunately I don't see myself using them again because some of us live on a strict budget and the delay in getting my refund really messed up my plans a lot.
