Refund

I paid for a booking for the 8/11/2025 booking Hotel@Secunda via booking.com and on the same day Hotel@Secunda called me and asked me to cancel as they double booked the rooms and I did . Now I called the customer service and some guy called Solomon says I can’t get a refund , how so ? As i was told to cancel by Hotel@Secunda .
