Qatar flight through booking.com cancelled due to war, still waiting on refund

Flight cancelled to Qatar due to war - still waiting for reimbur*****t. My partner booked a flight on booking.com to France with stop over in Doha, leaving 5 March 2026. On 3rd March 2025 Qatar confirmed cancellation of all flights due to Iran war. He went on to booking.com, used the online chat to question if he could claim a refund. The chat confirmed he could and that booking.com requested the refund from Qatar airlines. No feedback nor reimbur*****t came through. He followed up with booking.com again this week, via chat, and the feedback was they waiting on Qatar airlines. He went to Qatar website to see what is happening and the website is not picking up his details. This is ridiculous. Tomorrow will be 20 days and no formal feedback nor reimbur*****t.
