Poor Service from Booking.Com

Absolutely pathetic. My daughter booked a place through them in Stellenbosch and 2 weeks before the accommodation date the owner contacts her and says due to the fact that Booking.com has not paid him, he is cancelling the booking. I phoned the owner annoyed as I thought that Booking.Com was a reputable business and he said that they also owe him over R100,000 for his other units... I tried to phone the local number *** and it just goes dead. I got hold of someone at the global helpdesk who could hardly speak English and could offer no assistance at all. PLEASE DONT AS AN OWNER OR A CLIENT USE THIS BUSINESS !!
