Poor service

We booked for 2 nights at a guest house, upon the arrival time of check in, we were told the place is fully book for the whole year and booking.com were made aware prior though they did not update their website hence the booking was done 2 days before via bookings.com , we got confirmation from them. Now they cancelled our booking and told us we will get the refund after 7 days, by the time we don’t extra fund to book other places, they are telling us there’s nothing they can do but it’s their fault coz the guest house informed them they are fully booked till next year. Yhoooo they don’t prioritise our safety as women especially in our country we’re GBV on a high rate
