Overbooking Nightmare – No Customer Support, No Refund

My wife booked accommodation in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa through Booking.com. A few days before our stay, the guest house called to cancel due to their own overbooking, and advised us to cancel on Booking.com to receive a refund.

We followed their instructions and booked an alternative place directly, not through Booking.com. Since then, we have not received our refund. There is no human customer support, no email contact, and only an AI service consultant that cannot resolve issues.

It has been extremely frustrating, with no refund and no resolution to date. Be careful when booking – the system is automated, and if anything goes wrong, you’re left with zero support.
