Never use Booking.com

My family and I were in PE and looking for accomadation (5 Habour cottages Humewood), and booking.com tricks you into first paying for the accomadation before they give you the places details. We paid but when we went to the accomadation, there was no one there, the numbers were all off. and now trying to get the refund because we never used the facilities at all, now they only want to refund 50% of the fees we paid, we never used the place, we never even went in teh place, because no one was there and all phones were off.
