Never book a flight on Booking.com - they owe me 9k refund

Worst service ever. I made a flight booking on Booking.com from South Africa to Brussels on 7 February 2026, I had to cancel and requested for a refund same day because of a mistake with the booking and immediately did another booking which costed me R15k on top of the 9k payment I made on the initial booking. They promised to refund within 7 days and it’s been over a month, no refund, they constantly say the Airline has not refunded and I have it on full authority that the airline had not received any payment from them yet as it was only reserved meaning they **** that the airline has not refunded them. I’ve been calling their call centre everyday and they keep giving different stories and claim the matter is being escalated and there’s never any feedback, calls or emails to update besides me calling them to hear different lies regular. Never book a flight on Booking.com as it’s highly unreliable and you’ll be stranded, once you need your refund, you’ll never get it back.
