my reservation on booking.com didn't work, but they charged me a full amount

I made a booking on booking.com, but my reservation didn't go through. Still they charged me the full amount...1500$. They will probably reimburse me, but within 12 days!!! which is way too late. this was my entire holiday budget... I called them, but they cant do anything, they answer like a robot again and again... I'm so angry. Booking.com will be responsible that I won't be able to go on holiday.
