Misleading photos online - don't trust them. Don't use Booking.com

I recently went overseas for a few days. I stayed in 3 places, all booked through Booking.com. The 1st and last places were great, and were exactly as advertised online.

However. The 2nd place was a dump that looked nothing like the photos I'd been shown online when I booked the place. When the agents in London gave me the keys, they took me to a completely different address than the one I had booked. Then they took a huge "security deposit" which was supposed to be refunded in full after my stay. Instead, they took a chunk of money out of the deposit, for no reason and with no explanation.

The agent refuses to provide a breakdown or explanation. I reported this to Booking.com a couple of days ago, but they appear to have done nothing about it. Perhaps they are in cahoots with the London agents, all conspiring to ****** money from unsuspecting tourists.

Be warned. Be careful. Rather use a reputable travel agent.
