We booked an accommodation via booking.com for a week long holiday. On our arrival in Cape Town, we could not find the establishment we booked. The cellphone numbers provided by them was not available. I ask around from the security guards for the Dock Apartment to my astonishment no one seems to know it. I must say these guards have a very good knowledge of the area. According to them, they have received few enquiries from people looking for this place but they still do not know it.
While we were looking for the place the time was against us as it was getting darker by the minute. Around past 7 in the evening we realised that we won't find a place if we do not make new arrangements. We tried to send email to both Booking.com and Dock Apartment with no avail. We had no choice but secure new accommodation for our safety.
We have since requested refunds from booking.com however we are met with people who do not sympathise with the situation.
We do not have money anymore and booking.com keep or requesting information from us without refunding. If we can receive our money tomorrow it will be very helpful.
I trust that u can help to get our money back
I ask myself today if booking.com is also been used by the ****s? If not why can they not pay us and claim from the establishment later because the money we need for this week as we took our activity and petrol money to pay for the new accommodation
