****med on Booking.com and not refunded yet

I booked a place in Hartes and had my doubts on whether this was legit. Over the weekend, we took a drive there only for our suspicions to be confirmed. Apparently there is a whole lot of ****s in Hartes. The location it was meant to be confirmed that it was not legit. I immediately called Booking.com and told them. As this is a ****, I expect booking.com to cover the cost. The next day I got an email saying that it will be a free cancellation. This was over 6 weeks ago and I still have not received my refund. I have called endlessly, been told they cannot gove me more info and they are investigating. I will never ever book again with them. They are enabling the ****s and not doing their proper checks and as consumers we are having to pay the price. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.
