On the 25 April I was ****med using the bookings.com app. A **** host using the platform offered me a property to rent for the weekend and messaged me via the app, I made payment and sent a proof of payment only to realise that this was all a ****. The property was not even hers to rent out and I was at stranded with my family with no place to go for the long weekend. I spoke to a representative at bookings and they apologized and told me that I would be refunded. After a week they asked me to contact my bank, who where not interested in helping me and they I was told that they are not able to refund me. Bookings also refused to refund me. Please be careful using this platform, they do not vet their suppliers.
