If I could give this a 0 start rating I would.

The reservation arose from a failed booking process on the Booking.com platform where two rooms were initially shown as available. After the first room was booked, the platform cancelled the second room due to lack of availability. As we were travelling with family and required two rooms, the reservation became unusable through no fault of our own.

This issue was raised with both the hotel and Booking.com immediately in November 2025, well in advance of the reservation dates. There was a number of email correspondence and phone calls between booking.com and Nobile Hotel. Booking.com said that it was non-refundable as it was a "Partner offer". However, as explained to Booking.com and the hotel, the request for a cancellation and seeking a refund is because Booking.com was falsely advertising more rooms than what was actually available.

Booking.com has confirmed that the property has the ability to cancel the reservation and process the refund from its side should it agree to do so. After engaging Nobile hotel, they advised that the reservation was through Expedia and that they could authorise the refund. After engaging with Expedia’s customer service, they then advised that it is not with them but rather with their partner offering with Xiwantrip.

At present, neither the hotel nor any of the booking platforms detailed above is accepting responsibility for resolving the issue, despite the fact that payment was taken and the matter has been raised repeatedly for several months. I have not had a single response from Xiwantrip and still fail to understand how any of these platforms except a consumer to be able to properly engage on a transaction when every platform keeps directing it to the next "partner".
