False Security information at Booked guesthouse led to ****** car

I tried contacting Booking.com and they’re not showing urgency to this matter .

I am writing this complaint on behalf of my parents, who recently stayed at Mia Hills Guesthouse in Hartbee****rt. During their stay, their Toyota Hilux GD6 van was ****** right from the premises.

The guesthouse advertises that it has CCTV outside the property, CCTV in common areas, and a security alarm system, yet somehow a whole vehicle was ****** without anyone noticing or any alarm being triggered. How is that possible? How did the vehicle even get out through the gate if there is supposedly security on site?

This raises serious concerns about the truthfulness of the security claims made by the establishment. If these systems were working, how was nothing captured, and how did staff remain completely unaware of such a major incident?

To make matters worse, management showed little accountability or urgency in addressing the matter. No CCTV footage was provided, no meaningful assistance was offered, and there was no sense of responsibility toward guest safety or property.

This incident has caused my family significant stress and financial loss. I strongly warn others to think twice before booking at Mia Hills Guesthouse, especially if you value safety and honesty. The so-called “security features” they advertise clearly cannot be trusted.
