False Advertising

I made a booking and paid for for accommodation for the weekend of 9 and 10 August 2024 at Lusapho on the Dam in Hartbee****rt Dam with booking.com. After making payment, I received correspondence from booking.com and Lusapho on the Dam that the venue is closed for renovations. However, I only saw the correspondence only after I arrived at Lusapho on the Dam only to be told that the venue was sold and that the sheriff was recently there to evict the owner.

Why pray tell are you still taking payment for venues that are closed?

To date, i still have not been reimbursed by booking.com or Lusapho on the Dam. Worst still Lusapho on the Dam is still listed with booking.com and still taking reservations.

booking.com be a little more proactive and get for your act together and get a handle on what is advertised on your site and save us all the unnecessary inconvenience!
