Don't expect a refund from booking.com

I would definitely never make a booking through them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. We made a booking on booking.com for the weekend of the14th-16th December. After the booking was paid for, we were contacted by the owner to inform us that the place was no longer available. We were told that booking.com will refund us. After a few days nothing happened, and we started to follow up. It has now been more than 6 weeks and still no refund. There is no feedback on the customer service email line and the telephone line doesn't even ring. Worst customer service ever!
