Don’t be fooled by the popularity. Dismal service and sneaky price discrepancies

Booking.com's dismal customer service and unprofessional conduct have left me utterly dismayed. I booked a room through their platform, only to be blindsided by an outrageous ZAR10000 discrepancy in the charged amount compared to the initially displayed price. Despite multiple attempts to rectify this blatant overcharge, including numerous calls and providing concrete evidence through screenshots, their response has been nothing short of abysmal.

Not only has the company failed to address the issue, but their lack of accountability and disregard for customer concerns is appalling. It's been over a week of fruitless attempts to seek resolution, met with empty promises and an astounding display of incompetence.

Booking.com's failure to uphold transparency and provide adequate customer support reflects a disconcerting disregard for their users' trust and financial well-being. This experience has undoubtedly soured my perception of their services, and I caution others to be wary when relying on Booking.com for their travel accommodations. A company that neglects its responsibility to rectify such glaring discrepancies and ignores genuine customer grievances is unworthy of patronage.
