DO NOT BOOK with bookings.com at UMZINGANZI Accommodation in Richards Bay

My daughter was chosen to represent eThekwini district on the SALGA games which will take place on the 7th - 11th Dec 2023. I booked and paid online, the total amount of R6800.

3 days later, we got a communication that swimming will no longer be a part of the SALGA games as there are not enough swimmers from the other districts.

I quickly reached out to the owner (Sonika Smith) and even sent her the communication. she advised that I cancel my booking via booking.com which I did. I, then asked her when I should be expecting my refund, she said they have no-refund policy and that she can change my dates to accommodate my holidays. I explained to her that Richards Bay is not thee place for holidays, I was only going there to support my daughter, since that was cancelled, I needed to get my money to use it for something else.

she said, they don't refund people.... I told her that i was going to expose them for taking my money, she said that's a defamation of character, told her that i will write the truth, if she wants to challenge that, then by all means she must.

Thats almost R7000 of my hard-earned money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
