Disgusting accommodation from Booking.com

We were just in CT and booked an apartment in Clifton for 5 days. Paid R 6000.00. The accommodation was so disgusting - filthy couches; windows tied up with wire. Booking.com would not take responsibility for the owner of the apartment not refunding us when we had to move out and find alternative accommodation. They should vet the properties they advertise on their platform and not allow listings that are blatantly not above a certain standard
