Disappointed with how my rescheduling request was handled

We had booked to attend a friend's wedding which was for the 22nd of September 2024. We planned to check in at Elangeni hotel on the 20th of September and check out the 22nd of September but due to unforseen circumstances which is a rainy weather we were concerned about our safety because we will be driving on a hatchback car so we asked if we could modify the dates and check in on the 22nd of September 2024 and check out on the 24th of September 2024 because the weather is predicted to be sunny on those days but they were so unreasonable unwilling to meet us halfway by rescheduling or even charging a reasonable cancelation fee so we can rebook for the dates when the weather is better so they took the full amount and now we can't attend our friend's wedding am so disappointed with this level of greetings.
