Deducting funds unconsented

Booking.com first deducted off funds from my account and then said the booking could not be made. They will refund me in 7 to 14 days. I tried looking for other accomodation and there was a booking made without me re-entering my banking details even though my details were not saved. R2898.16 was just deducted off without consent.This is an amount I would never pay for a one night accomodation.
