Broken promises

<p>I made a booking for December at The Nest in Aliwal North. I was prompted to enter my credit card details and the disclaimer said no money will be deducted. To my surprise, half of the booking money was deducted from my credit card. </p> <p> </p> <p>I assumed the money was just reserved and will only be released once everything is confirmed. I later on cancelled the booking during the free cancellation period. It's been 3 weeks now and I haven't received my money back. I made several complaints to both booking.com and The Nest and only received promises each time. I trusted booking.com and always used it but this experience has really put me off. I don't know why to turn to now</p>
