Bookings.Com ****

I made a booking through Booking.com and paid R8,600 in advance. When I went to OR Tambo Airport on collection day to collect my vehicle, the hire company Alamo/Woodford said they received a provisional booking from Booking.com however, never received the money. They therefore, had to let my vehicle go to another customer. When I queried this with Booking.com they confirmed that I never showed up to collect my vehicle. So that was the first excuse which was obviously incorrect. I had to make another booking on the day and paid for that booking separately and over and above what I had to pay to Booking.Com. The original collection date was the 08th July 2025. I have to date not received any refund and every-time I contact Booking.Com, I speak with a different person and each time I am promised that the error was on their side and that I would get my money back within a week. I am still waiting. Please do not make the same mistake I made and use Booking.Com. You will not get your hire vehicle and I fear you will not get your money back either.
