Bookings don't com!

On 1 December I made a booking at La Rose Bed and Breakfast via the booking.com app, and hour later I cancelled the booking.

I received confirmation that the reservation had been cancelled and I would be refunded 48 hours later.

5 days later no refund is received and I follow up, I am now told I will be refunded due to the booking being non refundable.

No further details really stated as to why!

In my view I had not caused any gross inconvenience to either parties as I cancelled in less then an hour.

I was sent from pillar to post between the owner and bookings.com

This most certainly cannot be fair practice?
