Booking.Com/V&A Backpackers Victoria Road Salt River

made an online booking for my niece through Booking.com and paid in full for a 5-night stay from yesterday until 12 December. When we arrived at V&A Backpackers, the receptionist immediately told us that the booking had been made by an “ex-employee,” and even mentioned that there was a police case involving a similar incident with someone else. Despite showing her the Booking.com confirmation and proof of payment, she offered no assistance. She simply took photos of the documents and told us the place was full and that she couldn’t help. No solution, no alternative, and no responsibility taken. To make things worse, I later found two other listings online advertising the same property under different names, all taking reservations through Booking.com. This raises serious concerns about transparency and possibly *****ulent activity. This experience was incredibly stressful and frustrating. I would not recommend booking this establishment until the situation is resolved and the property takes accountability for the way guests are being treated.
