Booking.com/Makhato 17 Sondela nature reserve

Booked and paid with Booking.com for weekend 2nd to 4th May 2025at Makhato 17 Sondela Nature reserve on 23 Feb 2025..on arrival at Sondela the reception was not aware of my booking made through Booking. com.

I was treated like a persona non grata and had to wait at the gate for an hour while the booking confirmation was generated.

Why did this happen,and how can I avoid this in the future. I have requested feedback from both the owner and Booking.com to no avail.
