Booking.com nightmare in Versailles Pretoria - New ****

Booking number ***, We had a booking for 31/8/2024 till the 1/9/2024 @ a BNB (Versailles). When we got there the house was empty, carpet tiles inside was lifting up and the place smelled so bad we cancelled our reservation on the spot and now due to the cancelation policy these ****mers can keep our money. Do Bookings.com even check out these premises before they help them **** people out of there money ?
