Booking.com & Malibu on Beach Road (Port Elizabeth)

Good day, I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Malibu On Beach Road (Port Elizabeth), I have raised a complaint with Booking.com and the owner of the place however have sadly did not resolve the complaint to the level of satisfaction deserved.

Complaint raised to the property host/owner and all they did was read my complaint and ignored it, further to this i have sent another message and they have ignored as well.

Complaint raised with booking.com- Good part is that i received a response and offered a R200 credit which is appreciated however not satisfactory to the complaint raised. Further to this Booking.com is the platform that host and onboard all of these accommodations however refuse to take ownership for the poor accommodation that they have onboarded as apart of booking.com . All they can do further is apologize and advise their is nothing else that can be done which leaves me to believe that booking.com only basis compliance of accepted properties via pictures required and no physical inspection done to ensure that accommodation meets reasonable expectations.

Here are the issues related to the apartment 1. Parking is a big issue- it is such a small space, you can barely fit a small car in without an issue. 2. To enter the place is difficult- there is no security to even let you in the building, you have to wait for someone to come out to get into the doors. 3. Load shedding not accommodated for with back up lights- total darkness faced for 4 hours out of 12 hour stay 4. Shower is terrible- water barely comes out the shower, staying in the rain feels more better 5. Your ad says Toilet paper provided however nothing provided 6. The cupboards are in terrible condition- doesn't close, smells, tape stuck everywhere, old! 7.Main lobby smells

The price paid for this facility is ridiculous just for 1 night. by the way, this was R1000 and i had to take my family with a 10 month old baby to stay here! As a marketing expert this type of service and accommodations should not be tolerated or accepted. Booking.com should be holding up a certain standard for customers who depend on the service. I will also be logging an escalation with the hotel & tourism industry about this place and how this was dealt with by booking.com if this is not dealt with accordingly.
