Booking.com is the biggest ****. Stay away, save your money.

We booked accommodation for the 29.05.2022 in CT and received details of the "owner" to sort out the payment. "Owner" contacted us to do an EFT payment for the house, deposit, then requested another payment as deposit was wrongly calculated. Different private banking accounts were provided for different payments .After that, I have contacted Booking.com to clear out that this was their procedure. it was confirmed by Mohammad that it was and I was advised to make the payment. When we went to the accommodation, it was a private house which was rented long term. As a result, I have paid for the accommodation, deposit and another deposit and no accommodation. Booking.com was involved in the whole saga via several phone calls and mails and promised a refund. Apparently a refund was paid to some mysterious credit card ( I do not have credit card hence the EFT payments). It looks like Booking.com staff was involved in this **** and now they are all quiet. it is a year after the transaction. Booking.com stays silent on the issue and there is no way to complain or even get anybody that one of the agents that were probably involved in this ****.
