Booking.com has **** properties listed and you cannot report that anywhere

**** alert on Booking.com!! I use them often but here is a big warning as we just got ****med. My husband and son flew to CT yesterday. I found them accommodation on Booking.com as usual and paid as usual. When they arrived at the accommodation last night they found we had been ****med. It was a legitimate address, but obviously someone's holiday home as no one was there. Fortunately there was a friend that they could stay with last night. But now trying to get hold of anyone at Booking.com is impossible, no email contact, no phone contact, nothing. So we have lost our money. A friend of mine who works at a lodge listed on Booking.com tells me she had a couple recently who they accommodated as they also arrived in the area to find they had been ****med and now many establishments are boycotting Booking.com for the same reason. They don't check the establishments, there is no one to help/contact/deal with etc. So please warn everyone you know, use them as a search engine for sure, but when you find a place, go directly to their own website and check them out there. Phone and speak to them, read reviews etc. Don't book through Booking.com- only use them ad a search engine
