Booking.com False Advertising
Booked two places to stay and got nailed with both bookings, beware before booking through booking.com. Our first booking was at Esperanca Guesthouse Windhoek. The booking.com app didn't save the number of guests I entered and surprise surprise after expecting to pay R8000 we had to pay R14000. I took the matter up with booking.com who told me they would talk to the guesthouse, they got back to me saying they couldn't reach the guesthouse but when I spoke to the staff at the guesthouse they told me they already talked to booking.com and that we have to pay the R14000. I asked them why did they give us enough rooms to sleep 10 people if the supposed booking was only for 4 people. I went back onto the app and made the same booking again and again the app told me it would cost R8000. Booking.com did not care one bit about it's customers using their app and sided with the guesthouse and in the end we had to pay the R14000. Our next booking was at the Desert Palace in Upington the app showed the our luxury double room had a bath and included breakfast but when we got there the room had now bath only a shower and we had to pay for breakfast and while eating breakfast a cat jumped on our table and started eating our food. Booking.com won't see me again.
