Booking.com false advertising and theft

I booked a holiday through booking.com and all confirmation emails received. Paid the full amount and notifications were confirmed via email.

I took my family on a trip to DBN from JHB only to arrive and contact the owner who then advised me that he hasnt used booking.com since 2024. He only uses lekkerslaap. This then cost me extra to book into another destination. The calls to booking.com using the reference number and pin were all unsuccessful as I held on for 25 min only to have the call ended by the them. Ridiculously poor customer service. I need my money refunded for false advertising and theft.
